It’s the first week of classes and I already want to kill myself. Whatever happened to syllabus week? Grr, oh well, in other news, I had a very eventful morning. As I was leaving the house today, I opened the door to go out the blue hallway and literally a mound of snow falls right in front of me….
So I went to the orthopedic doctor’s office today. Recently, my right knee has been giving me a lot of shit after I run and that really annoys me, because running is one of my favorite things to do — give me an iPod, nice weather, and anger and I’m DTR.
Thankfully, there is nothing wrong with dem BONEZ. However, I learned that I have chondromalacia patellae, which means that the soft cartilage under my knee cap is irritated and softened. SO, whenever I bend my knee, I’m essentially softening it even more and could potentially damage my knee cap. Hot, no?
Thankfully, it’s a common thing that, unfortunately, isn’t curable. Whatever, the result is, in order to make it somewhat better, I need to stop running for a month or so. I’m kind of nervous of just stopping, because all I did this summer was run. It’s become this necessity to get sucked into this pace, absorbing the surroundings, and drown out almost everything — stress relief, if you will.
On a side note, they took x-rays of my right knee…and I have to say, bent knees/knee caps look disgusting. [/cool story bro]
